Red Pepper Programme

Salford City Council's Health Improvement Team delivers a healthy lifestyles programme for families called 'Red Pepper'.

This is a free, five-week programme aimed at parents who are concerned that their child is above a healthy weight. Any family that lives in Salford or has a Salford GP, and has at least one child over five is eligible for the Red Pepper programme.

Families receive information and encouragement around improving diet, family meals and recipes, as well as ways to exercise as a family, etc. They are also given a pack of resources to help them make healthier choices.

The sessions are always ran in a friendly, non-judgemental way and there is no mention of ‘dieting’ – the focus is on making small, gradual changes.

Please see below the promotional flyer for Red Pepper.

If families are interested in signing up for Red Pepper, please call 0800 952 1000 (Option 2) Mon-Fri 9am-4:30pm to speak with an advisor or book a place on the programme.

Thank you.
