The health and safety of our children is of paramount importance The majority of our staff have had training in basic First Aid with several staff having attained full First Aid certification. All staff follow the School’s policies to ensure that the environment is fully safe and secure.
The School treats security as a priority. In recent years we have installed high profile CCTV cameras, intercoms and high metal fencing to ensure that our children are as safe and secure as possible. The School works in close association with Community Safety Trust (“CST”) and the Police on an ongoing basis. The School is also protected by an external security company throughout the day and also operates, through the parents, a range of monitoring measures and guard duty during the busy periods at the beginning and end of the School day.
Extensive documentation is in place to ensure that consistent and effective teaching and learning takes place throughout the whole School. The statutorily required policies, including discipline, health and safety and child protection, are constantly monitored, reviewed and updated, a process which has been highly praised by the LEA.
